SGN Gasworks

As you may already be aware, there are to be further gasworks in the Valley over the summer. This will complete the replacement works but will involve three areas on the A24.

The FVRA has been involved in discussions around these works and have been asked to share the following information with you;

Multi-way lights on the A24 Findon Road, Worthing to complete gas main connections

Following on from gas main replacement work in the local area, SGN Contractors I&G Contractors Limited, will be completing connections to the gas main located on A24 Findon Road.  Due to the location of the connections in the road, for everyone's safety we will need to have multiway traffic lights in operations.

The following outlines our plan to complete these connections:

13 July for approximate duration 1 weeks - A24 Findon Road at Junction of Mayfield Close

Multi-way temporary traffic lights on the junction of Mayfield close with A24 Findon Road

20 July for approximate duration 1 weeks – A24 Findon Road at the junction of Hillview Rise

Multi-way temporary traffic lights on the junction of Hillview Rise with A24 Findon Road

27 July for approximate duration 3 weeks – A24 Findon Road at junction Marshalls Avenue

Multi-way temporary traffic lights on the junction of Marshalls Avenue with A24 Findon Road

To help keep the traffic flowing, we will be manually controlling the temporary traffic lights from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday.

Bus route timetables may be affected due to traffic delays – we'd advise passengers to plan journeys accordingly.

We appreciate our works will be disruptive for the community; please can we assure you our engineers will be working as quickly and as safely as possible to complete these works.

If you need to speak to us about these works, you can contact our Customer Service Team by email customer@SGN.co.uk or alternatively you can call them on 0800 912 1700, they will direct your enquiry to one of the team for response.

We're sorry for the inconvenience our work causes and thank you for your patience and understanding.
