Residents be aware - cold caller for gardening work

Our PCSO has brought to the attention of FVRA a man touting for gardening work in the local area.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant regarding an individual cold calling to offer gardening services. Reports indicate that this person has approached vulnerable residents, falsely claiming to have previously carried out work on their property and stating that further gardening services have already been agreed upon.

PCSO Ed Mitchell advises that the individual is male, slim build, with closely shaved beard and moustache. He will likely be casually dressed in jeans and tee-shirt and possibly wearing a baseball cap with the “Hugo Boss” signage.

If you encounter this individual, try to take mental note of any relevant details, such as vehicle registration, or business information. Report to Sussex Police via 101 when you feel safe to do so, or 999 if you feel threatened.
