Most of the information in these charts has been obtained from over 20 directories and archived copies of newspapers. Sometimes the directories were out of date by two years.


On these charts the numbers above each column are the Findon Road numbers for each shop.


The charts have been prepared to show the details of each shop running from North to South.


This means that the shop currently occupied by Jacobs Steel is shown on the left column of the next page and the shop currently occupied by The Merry Miller is shown on the right column of the last page. On the chart a “?” means that I do not know the details of the shop at that location for that period.
