FASHION SHOW UPDATE

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent charity Fashion Show held at Merriman Grange Care Home.

I am proud to announce that we will be making a donation of £1,000 to the Broadwater Cancer Research Shop for their Bowel Babe campaign!

I am indebted to Merriman Grange and Cinnamon Care for their unwavering support for this project and for providing us with such a magnificent venue complete, with red carpet runway.

Thanks also to Aaran Morriss, Funeral Director in Findon Valley for his generous support and to Bolney Winery for their raffle prizes.

Our amazing models, Sandra, Suzi, Samantha and Stephanie, all members of the Business Breakfast Network, Dr Rani Dhillon, Senior Partner at Limetree Surgery, Councillor Cathy Glynn-Davies, outgoing Mayor of Worthing, and joined enthusiastically by Jay and Terry, showcased a number of preloved outfits with great style and elegance (and in the case of Jay and Terry with a good deal of swagger!) These and many other items were offered for sale in the 'shop' afterwards and along with a raffle helped to make up the total raised.

Carole Bellone, Cancer Research Shop Manager for more than 27 years, was our guest of honour. Sadly the shop is earmarked for closure in August, so the show has given Carole and her team of dedicated volunteers (myself included) the lift we needed to keep going until then.

Thanks as always go to the FVRA Team who rallied round to help, lift, shift and carry everything needed to make the night go with a swing.
