FVRA: Have Your Say

Our AGM on Saturday 14th March is your opportunity to hear directly from your Findon Valley Residents' Association and have your say on the things that are most important to you.

Findon Valley Residents' Association has been representing the people of Findon Valley for over 80 years.

Our Annual Open Meeting (AGM) is fast approaching. On 14th March, join us at the Findon Valley Free Church from 1.30pm to 3pm to hear more about what our committee have been doing, with updates from our local councillors.

Our Guest Speaker will be Mr Jim Dixon who will entertain and enthral us with an illustrated presentation on his childhood growing up in Limetree Avenue in the 1940s and 50s. Our Archivist, Jim Booth, has worked with Jim to bring his family photograph albums to life.

Your local Residents’ Association (FVRA) has been protecting and promoting your local environment and building community links in Findon Valley for more than 80 years. We are a charity (Reg. No. 267009) run by a small team of volunteers and we need the financial support of our members to continue this work.

Membership is available to all Valley residents, as well as to others with a legitimate interest – people like Vale School parents who bring their children in and those who run a business in the Valley and live outside Findon Valley.

It only costs £5 per household, or £3 for single occupants per year, that’s less than 10p per week!

To become a member simply complete the online form below, selecting 'I'd like to give regularly' as the option.

If paying by direct debit, we are able to claim Gift Aid worth 25% of the value of your donation from HMRC, if you are a UK tax payer and you tick the Gift Aid box, at NO cost to you, or by printing this Membership Form, completing and following the instructions detailed on the form regarding payment.

When you setup to pay by direct debit via the Charities Aid Foundation for your FVRA membership your bank account statement will show an entry of ‘Charity Donation’ against the amount of the payment taken.

Findon Valley Needs You!

Our committee is formed of a small but committed team of local residents. Many of us have had no previous experience in Residents' Associations, charities or PTAs. What brings us together and motivates us is our desire to work together and with residents to do what's best for the Valley.

Due to committee members retiring we currently have three vacancies on our committee and would love to hear from residents who would like to volunteer their services to support us! Committee meetings take place monthly in the Free Church.

If you are interested in any of the following roles please contact our chair via the Contact Us form here on our website.

  • Treasurer

  • Vice Chair

  • Events Officer
