Post Dog Show Mess - an apology and a thank you

It's been brought to FVRA's attention that the efforts to clear the Gallops after the Dog Show yesterday fell far short of our usual standards.
We always endeavour to "leave no trace" after an event we've organised, and to ensure that all rubbish is collected and put away in bins, and disposed off appropriately.
FVRA and other volunteers did ensure this was the case at the end of the Dog Show, making sure we'd completely cleared the site of all rubbish and debris. Unfortunately, we didn't adequately ensure that the rubbish bags were taken away for disposal, and instead a handful of bags were left next to the permanent bins on the Gallops.
Needless to say, clearly that was an open invite for the foxes over night and to the great disappointment of many residents the Gallops was littered with rubbish and debris by the morning.
We would like to wholeheartedly thank the residents who noticed this and who then meticulously cleared the site. They are a shining example and we really appreciate their efforts. We would also like to sincerely apologise, because clearly they shouldn't have had to do that.
We will be discussing this at our next Committee Meeting to ensure that we have adequate rubbish disposal provision in place for subsequent events.
Thank you, and apologies again for falling short.
FVRA
